The Big Bang Startup Challenge, organised annually by ITU Çekirdek, which provides 360-degree support to entrepreneurs on their growth journey, will bring together 50 brave startups this year. Recognised by UBI Global as the world’s best university incubator in the category of “University-based Incubators”, this year’s Big Bang Startup Challenge will showcase the best new ventures in Turkey. ITU Çekirdek, which has been identifying top startups for 12 years, will provide a unique experience for tech enthusiasts while connecting startups with the business and investment world. Themed “The Braves”, the event will feature the TOP 50 startups presenting their ideas. On the first day, these startups will take the stage, and on the second day they will receive awards and investment opportunities. Visitors will be able to explore the startups’ booths and experience areas, while surprise performances by artists, special shows and DJ sets will keep the excitement high.

ITU Çekirdek has supported more than 4,200 technology startups to date.

Supporting an average of 500 start-ups per year and generating millions of dollars in added value for the Turkish economy, ITU Çekirdek Incubation Centre has supported more than 4,200 technology start-ups over the past decade, helping 1,400 of them to become companies. ITU Çekirdek has helped startups create 10,000 jobs and secure $150 million in investments. The total valuation of the startups in ITU Çekirdek’s portfolio has reached $1.5 billion.

Startups taking the stage at Big Bang are being given the opportunity to expand globally

At Big Bang, which has witnessed numerous success stories so far, hundreds of startups have accelerated their growth and achieved global success stories through the awards and investments they received on the Big Bang stage with the support of ITU Çekirdek for over 10 years. Among these startups are those that have established distribution networks in over 40 countries, secured investments from Silicon Valley, successfully exited and are considered future unicorn candidates. As in previous years, Big Bang 2023 is expected to produce highly talked-about startups.
