The countdown is on for the Big Bang Startup Challenge, an annual event organised by ITU Çekirdek Incubation Center, which has been named the “World’s Best University Incubator” by UBI Global. The event, which will be held for the 12th time on 13-14 December at UNIQ Istanbul, will bring together the best startups from Türkiye and around the world with the business and investment community for two days.
ITU ARI Teknokent’s incubation centre, ITU Çekirdek, will host Türkiye largest entrepreneurship event, the Big Bang Startup Challenge, which aims to connect the startup ecosystem from Türkiye and around the world. The event, which will take place on 13-14 December 2023, will showcase top technology startups to the business and investment community and provide a platform for entrepreneurs to meet their seed capital needs. Having provided over TL 341 million in awards, investments and cash support last year, and a total of TL 850 million over the past three years, Big Bang is expected to generate even more substantial resources this year. The event at UNIQ Istanbul will also attract thousands of viewers focused on technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.
Total valuation of startups reaches $1.5 billion
ITU Çekirdek Incubation Centre supports an average of 500 startups per year, creating millions of dollars in value for the Turkish economy. Since its establishment in 2011, ITU Çekirdek has supported more than 4,200 technology startups, contributing to the creation of 1,400 companies, creating 10,000 jobs and securing $150 million in investments. The total valuation of startups within ITU Çekirdek has reached $1.5 billion.
